GPHL chief scientist Schekman visits Shennong Caotang

2013 Nobel Laureate in Medicine and the chief scientist of GPHL and its subsidiary Guangzhou General Pharmaceutical Research Institute Co., Ltd. Randy Schekman, visited GPHL’s Shennong Caotang with GPHL Chairman Li Chuyuan and the Institute’s President Ni Qinghong on July 6th.
Schekman visited the TCM Garden, the Lingnan Medicine Garden, and the Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Museum。 At the Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Experience Hall, Schekman tried the company’s new beverage product Roxburgh Rose mixed juice (Ci Ning Ji)。 Schekman, Li Chuyuan and Ni Qinghong planted a tree in the museum as a symbol of cooperation with GPHL。
Schekman appreciated GPHL’s efforts in promoting TCM culture and conveyed plans to work with the group in TCM research. Before visiting the museum, Schekman was in a dialogue with GPHL, discussing the research and development of new drugs, the transformation of scientific research achievement, and the future talent training.
